Unhappy Some characters will need to retire eventually...

Really! How is it humanly possible to take ten different characters trough six campaigns?

It's inevitable there will come a point you just can't get every skill for every charater anymore. Unless you iterally play 24/24.

I love GW to no end, but i think it may become a must to take your existing characters as heroes so you are able to capture skills for them even wile you are not directly playing them...

Oh well, i'm just a little tired of a day long playing and i think i will have a stroke soon

They just need to only support 8 classes each campaign (6 core+2 new)

I agree, I think many people will retire some of their characters at some point. Personally, I know I won't have time to get all of mine through before the next chapter. I've already decided I'll likely only have time to play my monk and mesmer (+dervish and paragon) through Nightfall.

I think it's inevitable, but nothing bad. Thankfully Anet gives ways for characters to bypass chapters, so my retired characters may end up joining back up for the next campaign.

It just means you'll have to choose which characters to play now. I've picked 3 characters that I'll play in pve, and all my others have become storage. Since it's not necessary to keep pve characters pvp ready anymore there's really no point in wasting lots of time keeping them perfect. Besides, think about how much worse this is in games like WoW. Go make a post like this on a WoW forum and people will laugh at you for even trying.

Perhaps the point of the game is not to get every skill for every character.

Besides, there is no law saying you have to complete everything in a chapter before the next one comes out.

I can't comprehend how some players delete a character because they don't like it's hair anymore just to take it trough all campaigns AGAIN.

For players, you will obviously have to pick who to bring through what. At this point, with 9 character slots, I have 4 PvP slots still because I cannot see bringing more than a few through Nightfall now.

Yea, I had this problem when Nightfall came out. I play very frequently but I ended up deleting my monk (my least favorite/played character) just to relieve some of the "OMG Gotta finishing everything in game!!!" pressure.

At the moment, I only have 5 PvE characters (Necro, Warrior, Ranger, Assassin and Paragon) and I've assigned them each a different secondary for unlocking skills for the other proffesions I don't play. I'm not much into getting every skill for every character, but I still want them unlocked. So far in Nightfall, I've gotten my Paragon to the second to last mission, (Came close to killing Shiro multiple times but to no avail) and have all my other characters at the Consulate Docks mission. (Except for my Ranger, but he's only to the Sanctuary.)

I, for one, have my original ranger, who pretty much shows up for all the parties now and that's it. Has every hat made available so far.

Hmm... I guess he is retired, and knows it!

I recently bought a slot(will buy one more sometime), so I could have a ranger, next one I buy will be for mesmer. Currently, ranger is lvl 14 in Borlis Pass, and After I get most of the Titan quests done with it, Ill think about getting that last slot, then go through game again. THEN Ill get Factions, and start that with new character(1 slot for mule), then, after Factions character is done, replay game with Tyrians, then Repeat with Nightfall, ect, ect. I guess I dont bore easily.

Think of it this way:

You will never have nothing to do.

Every char is always gonna need something.

:P

Keeps you busy, if you get bored doing one thing on another continent, just jump to another character elsewhere.

Right now things im doing:

Dervish and Paragon in elona
Ranger and Necro in elona
Assassin in Cantha
+farming FOW/UW
+Alliance battles
+UAX'ing

I agree. It will take months to get each character through the Nightfall with 10 PvE characters so I'll have to concentrate on a select 3 or 4. I wish there was an easier way to get the elites on RP characters.

I basically Just play my Ranger through the chapters, and I have a Monk and Warrior I usually just get far enough along to get to a farm spot or something.

I have a:
Necromancer
Paragon
Ritualist

That I never use anymore...NEVER...The necro is a Mule, and the paragon and ritualist are taking up space.

For me atleast there is NO replayability to the missions and storyline...

Its really not that hard to beat a campaign. If you have say 2 or 3 guildies with you you can easily clear Faction, Nightfall, and even Prophecies in no more than 2 days. My self and 3 guildies beat nightfall approximatly 34 hours after the game opened its servers(we could have done less but the glitch held us back). If you try hard enough and have the stamina to play for hours upon no end then you can stop complaining about the games being too long and just go hardcore roid rage and beast through the campiagins in 2 weeks with all of your characters.

You wouldn't have to retire a character. Maybe alternate half and half which characters go through new camapains.
